the ‘GAST GASTGEBER-STORE’ is the museum store in Halle 5 on the Zollverein area in Essen (Germany) during RUHR2010. The overall store concept consist pure and standardised materials: no tree trunks but plywood, no sand but disposable glass.
The Zollverein Bottle-Cabinets consist out of one plywood of 18MM. The plywood is laminated with desktop ( Forbo ) to give it a natural touch. For strength the layers are held together by a strap, which give the cabinet a open look. Every cabinet get its unique look by changing the bottles.
